Bring STEM Concepts to Life for Students

The demand for careers in STEM only continues to rise and preparing students for the jobs of tomorrow is no easy task. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) occupations are expected to grow 10.4 percent between 2023 and 2033. By comparison, this is almost three times faster than non-STEM occupations (3.6 percent).1 Furthermore, students are more competitive when they have a strong foundation in critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

The following EVERFI STEM courses, recommended by Oceans to Orbits, is designed to empower students to thrive in the classroom and beyond by connecting new concepts to real-world challenges, tapping into students’ interests, and leveraging their natural curiosity. Through standards-aligned, research-based curriculum, students explore relevant topics including the importance of biodiversity, making sustainable choices, and exploring various career pathways within the field of STEM that align with their interests, skills, and aptitudes.
